Green pawprints
Those little deposits on the back lawn aren’t the only trace left by your four-legged friend. The average medium-sized dog has a carbon pawprint of 2 tons (most of that comes from producing and transporting dog food). Help your dog fight climate change by offsetting its emissions. Your purchase funds the construction of renewable energy projects in communities across America, building a brighter future for generations of people and puppies to come.
How big is your hound?
This package is for a mid-sized dog weighing around 45 pounds. If that doesn’t fit the bill, you’ll want offsets for a small or large dog.
How do we calculate your dog’s emissions?
We assume that a medium dog weighs about 45 pounds, and use canine food consumption data from the National Academy of Sciences to help determine your dog’s diet footprint. Then we add in typical vet emissions, based on data from the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Energy Information Association.

- A year of carbon offsets for a mid-size dog
