Responsibilities
- Conceive, design, build, test, and release features and enhancements in an Agile development environment
- Write well-factored, extensible, elegant Ruby on Rails code with a test-driven approach.
- Produce creative solutions with an emphasis on usability and simplicity
- Work proficiently in all layers of the development stack
Job Requirements
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
- 1+ year experience developing with Ruby on Rails
- 3+ years experience in web application development
- 3+ years experience in data modeling and database development
- Knowledge of OO designer patterns, refactoring and unit testing
- Proven track record in a fast paced, Agile environment
Preferred Experience and Skills
- Expertise in HTML, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX and XML
- Solid understanding of browser compatibility issues.
- Subversion or similar source control
- UX experience
