What is the Project Fund?
Over the past few years, we have been continually inspired by the thousands of individuals and community organizations growing the climate movement from the ground up. The Brighter Planet Project Fund will provide seed money each month to motivated Americans for community projects that help people fight or adapt to climate change.
Any resident of the United States can apply for the Project Fund. Every project must have a Project Sponsor; a sponsor can be any US organization with a tax ID number that is supportive of the project’s goals.
Brighter Planet members decide – as a community – which Climate Projects to seed. The project(s) with the most votes at the close of a voting period will receive grants. Project submitters can reach out to any networks online or in their own community to gain support and win votes.
Our company contributes to the fund every time one of our customers uses a Brighter Planet debit card or credit card or buys offsets. You can help grow the fund by becoming a Brighter Planet customer.
