How do we calculate your home’s emissions?
The US Energy Information Association publishes statistics on home energy use, including heating, cooling, and electricity consumption. We take the total emissions from the energy used by all homes in the US and divide it by the number of households. The result is almost 11 tons each year, or 2.7 tons every 3 months.
