Rich Sturim
Rails Developer. Rich Sturim is responsible for developing and maintaining the Brighter Planet website and actively guiding the company’s future online direction. His expertise surrounds web application development and database design. Rich began a career in web development in 1998 and has been involved in all aspects of custom software application development solutions from proposal and initial scope to analysis, project management and development of solutions.
Prior to Brighter Planet Rich worked in the eCommerce space in both Seattle and Vermont. He has led the development of both consumer facing and large-scale business-to-business online initiatives.
Rich graduated from Brown University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.
Prior to his career in software, Rich worked seven years in the Pacific Northwest as an environmental field technician with two environmental engineering firms and lead dozens of field investigations studying contamination at Superfund sites throughout the United States.
