Russell Long
Founder and Director, Bluewater Network. Bluewater Network is a national environmental organization that merged with Friends of the Earth in 2005. Bluewater has achieved significant successes confronting environmental problems, greenhouse gas emissions from passenger cars, air and water pollution from the shipping industry, and thrill craft use on public lands. He has served on various state, regional, and local advisory boards regulating oil spills, water conservation, and marine transportation in California. His opinion editorials have appeared in The New York Times, The Boston Globe, San Francisco Chronicle, and other publications. He holds a B.A. from Harvard, Master’s of Business Administration from Columbia University, and Doctorate from the California Institute of Integral Studies.
