Ian Hough
Staff Scientist. Ian researches greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption, creates equivalence reporting and emissions estimates, provides updates on our projects’ progress, and recommends alliances with leading providers. He also interprets scientific and political developments in the clean energy and carbon markets for our customers. Before joining Brighter Planet, Ian re-designed Clean Air-Cool Planet’s GHG calculator for colleges and universities, and helped organize Step It Up 2007, a national grassroots day of climate action. A recent graduate of Middlebury College, he is fueled by his passion for climate change and ecological footprints and marmalade.
